Annaduff/Drumsna

Down V Leitrim: It was a much improved performance from the Roscommon match in Newry. The winning margin of eight points was very harsh on Leitrim who were probably the better team for 40 minutes. If Wayne McKeon and the Beirnes were available it could have been a different result. A football team does not need to be run like an army, there are far too many stupid rules. Also apart from those on the panel players like Declan Maxwell and Brendan Guckian would have added much needed power and skill to the team. The injured Ronan Gallagher was also a big loss. The future however looks bright as this is a very young Leitrim team. Amazing Shane Canning was not introduced at some stage.
