Autumn Club: There will be a meeting of the Autumn Group on next Tuesday night 19th July at 9pm. All members are requested to attend.
Congress Bell: The Eucharistic Bell is a key symbol of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress. It originates from the Dominican Convent in Portstewart, Co. Derry, and was used to ring in the Jubilee Year 2000 in Glendalough, Co. Wicklow. The Bell reflects an invitation to faith and prayers which has always been important in our Christian tradition and is no less today. The Pilgrimage of the Bell through the diocese has been scheduled to visit all parishes. It will arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Gortletteragh, on Thursday July 21st at 12 noon and there will be a Liturgy of welcome. The choir will be in attendance and a good turnout is expected.
Football Fare: Leitrim put in a very credible performance on Saturday last against Down, the All Ireland Finalists from 2010. Again our clubman, Cathal McCrann had a fine game, bringing off some great saves in the goals.
