The death has taken place of Mr. Farrell (Farlo) McKeon, Liscarbon, at North West Hospice Sligo following a long illness. He is survived by his sister Joan McLoughlin (Luton), Eileen Flynn (Aughnasheelin), brother Frances, sisters-in law Carol McKeon (Liscarbon), Joan McKeon (Ballinamore Road) other relatives and friends to whom we extend our deepest sympathy. The funeral took place to Drumcong Cemetery on Tuesday of last week following Requiem Mass in St.Bridget’s Parish Church. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

VOLUNTEER ABROAD PROGRAMME

Aisling Heeran, Carrick Road, Drumshanbo is participating in EIL’s Volunteer Programme in Vietnam in June/July 2011. While there, she will be working unpaid with disadvantaged children in a primary school and in an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City. Aisling needs to raise 3000 euro to participate in the programme. Anyone who would like to be associated with the project may donate to her at her home or contact Aisling on 086 8901343.

CARD DRIVE

The weekly Card Drive takes place this Sunday and every Sunday at 8.30pm in the Club House. All are welcome. Refreshments served.
