COMMUNITY GAMES - Killoe Community Games Art and Model Making Competitions will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, the 27th of February in Ennybegs Community Centre.

COMMUNITY GAMES - Killoe Community Games Art and Model Making Competitions will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, the 27th of February in Ennybegs Community Centre.

The age categories for Art are U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16. All art entries must have a Community Games theme. An entry may be a drawing, painting, collage or cartoon. Drawing paper will be provided for all competitors. Please bring your own crayons, pencils, colours, collage materials, etc.

The age categories for Model Making are U10, U12, U14 and U16. Please bring your own modelling clay and accessories. All exhibits must have a Community Games theme and any materials may be used.

Only entries completed at this event will be eligible for judging. All first place winners in each age group will go forward to the County Final on Saturday the 12th of March.

Give blood

Irish Blood Transfusion service will visit the Longford Arms Hotel on Wednesday – Thursday 24th February 2011 from 5pm – 8.30pm. All support is greatly appreciated.

Condolence

Sincere Sympathy is extended to the Brady families Rhyne Killoe Co Longford, extended families and friends on the sad bereavement of their uncle Frank who was laid to rest last week. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Olivers Church Cullyfad with burial in adjoining cemetery. May he rest in peace, also condolence to the Bradley families Cloncoose extended families and friends on the sad bereavement of their mother Eileen (nee Spollen) (and wife of the late Tommy) who was laid to rest last week. May she rest in peace.

Birthday

Greetings to Justin Quinn son of Gerry and Mary Theresa Corlea Killoe who was joined by family and friends to help him celebrate a zero birthday in Begleys Pub Aughaboy Killoe last weekend. Church notices

St Mary’s Ennybegs Masses Wednesday / Thursday at 10am. Friday at 7.30pm.. Bishop Colm O’Reilly will visit St Theresa’s NS Clontumpher on Wednesday to meet this year’s confirmation class. Exposition blessed sacrament in both Churches on Wednesday from 6- 10pm. Killoe Cell Group meet on Thursday 24th February 2011 in Cullyfad Community Centre at 8pm. Everyone is welcome.

Sympathy

Sincere condolence is extended to Margaret O’Rourke and families USA, Taylor families Dublin on the sad bereavement of Margaret’s sister Nancy McKeon (nee Ward) ( and wife of the late Paddy McKeon) Aughaboy Killoe Co Longforrd who was laid to rest last week.
