A Word of thanks

Niamh Mulligan and Michelle Farrell would just like to extend their appreciation to everyone who turned up to participate in their table quiz which was held in Farrell’s Bar, Ballinalee last Saturday night which was a very successful night. They would also like to thank all those who donated raffle prizes, bought raffle tickets, those who couldn’t come but donated previously and anyone who helped out in any way. They would also like to thank Farrells Bar and also David Reynolds for being a fantastic MC on the night. The girls will be volunteering with the Global Medical and Public Health Brigade this coming June in Honduras and will be continuing their fundraising efforts in the coming weeks with another night planned for May the 9th in Creegans, Bunlahy.

Drumlish Tidy Towns

The work of prepping the Village to reach the magic 300 marks in this year’s National Tidy Town’s Competition continues with energy and vigour - pavements and walls have been power-washed and  are ready for painting. This means DTT’s commitment to enhance the village is on target. All areas are being painted in time for June judging and we appeal to building and vacant site owners to make a difference for the mid June judging. We have approached a number of people already to this end so don’t let us down.   â€¨Drumlish has over the past 10 years (2005 - 2014) increased its marks from a baseline of 178 in 2005 to 287 marks in 2014, so 300 with your help is very achievable and spread the word.
