Ballymore football club held their monthly draw in McElvaneyâ€™s on Friday night, April 10th last and the first prize of one thousand euro was won by Noeleen Duffy, Springpark while Turlogh McGovern, Agnes Manley and Emmett Og GFC all won one hundred euro. Next draw in Creeganâ€™s at the end of April.

Granard country markets wish to announce to all their customers and friends that from this Friday April 24th the market will be held in The Motte Project building opposite Kearneyâ€™s garage on the Dublin road. All the usual bread,cakes,country fresh eggs,crafts and firewood will be available each Friday morning from 8-30 to 11-00am and there will be plenty of good parking and also free delivery to all town customers. Michelle Farrell and Niamh Mulligan would like to extend their appreciation to everyone who turned up to participate in their table quiz which was held in Farrellâ€™s bar in Ballinalee on Saturday night last April 18th. The girls will be volunteering with the Global medical and public health Brigade this coming June in Honduras and will be continuing their fundraising efforts in the coming weeks with another night planned for May 9th in Creeganâ€™s Bunlahy.
Moatefarrell Vintage Club will host a Tractor Run in aid of Motor Neurone Disease on Sunday next, April 26th with registration at Rawleâ€™s Pub in Ballinalee starting at 10am. A special feature on the day will be the attendance of Harryâ€™s Heroes who are the All Ireland Tractor Rebuilding Champions and they will give a demonstration at Rawleâ€™s Pub between 4-00 and 4-30pm and this is something not to be missed.
