The death of Peter (Anthony) Donohoe, Derries removes from the area one of nature’s gentlemen and an integral member of the local community. Peter who was aged 85 died peacefully at Cavan General Hospital having been in poor health for some time. He was a native of Urble, Carrigan and came to live in Derries when he married his beloved wife Maggie Langtry in 1962. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony (Urble) a few years ago. An industrious member of the local farming community he was a good neighbour and friend and his passing has left a void in the local closely knit community where he will be sadly missed by family friends and neighbours. The large numbers attending the wake, removal and funeral bore testimony to the esteem in which Peter and his family are held. We extend our sincere sympathy to his loving wife Maggie, sons John, Joe, Pauric, and Edwin, daughters Mary, Cathy and Ann, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
