The Senior Citizens Christmas party will take place this year on December 14th in Foxe’s at 3 pm. A good day out guaranteed. Epilepsy Ireland would like to thank all who contributed towards their church gate collection in all parish churches on November 1st and 2nd and to those who took up the collection. Your support is greatly appreciated. 

Football Fare

Gortletteragh/Fenagh Under 21 team fought out a tightly contested championship semi final against Manorhamilton in Pairc Seán on Sunday last and shaded it in the end by 0 – 9 to 0 – 7. It was a fine game of football. Well done to the lads and best of luck at the weekend when they play Mohill in the final.

Leitrim Guardian

The recently published Leitrim Guardian is now on sale in all the local outlets, in Fox’s of Tooman, Kiernan’s Centra and Keane’s Costcutter in Drumlish and Eason’s in Longford. This year’s edition contains a piece by Nancy Bohan-McKeown on the Fireside Poet, Pat Higgins of Cloncoose and how his compositions survived from the 19th century to their publication in 2011. The Leitrim Guardian would be a nice Christmas present.

Energy Awareness Day “Energy Awareness Day, Canon Donohoe Hall, Mohill on Thursday, December 4th from 3-6pm. This event is about informing people how they can save money, save on energy costs and get advice on what support may be available to them. Admission is FREE all are welcome.

Fireside Tales

Jude Flynn of Longford and Drumgrania is back in the book business again with the launch of the 12th issue of Fireside Tales. This is another fine book and a great addition the his collection. Jude has great energy and must be commended on the legacy of books that he has produced. We congratulate him on this new publication.

Christmas Cracker! 
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; There will be a lot stirring in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill on Sunday evening, 7th December when the Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir takes to the stage for their Christmas Show ‘Sleigh Bells Ring’ which starts at 8pm! Come along, take your mind of the everyday worries and kick start this Christmas in Mohill Town. A great evening of song and music along with a visit from Santa himself! Beneficiaries: St. Mary’s Parish Mohill and Mohill Family Support Centre. 

Christmas Hip Hop

Christmas hip hop how will be held on Tuesday, 16th December at 6.30pm in Canon Donohue Hall, Mohill. It is going to be a fun event for all to display the hard work and fun.


Adults Christmas Party will then be held in Canon Donohue for all on Thursday, 18th at 6.30pm- please bring something along- a few buns etc. I have asked a few local businesses to come along with cards.
