A 3k or 6k (your choice) run/walk will take place in Lisryan Village on Sunday, September 28th at the earlier time of 11am. We hope to raise much needed funds to enable us to purchase items to enhance and enrich our village. The 3/6k will finish with a well-deserved cup of tea in the heart of our village â€œThe Crossroads Innâ€. Registration on the day â‚¬5 per child and â‚¬10 per adult.
The next trad session will take place Friday, October 17th. Last Friday was well attended and everyone celebrated culture night with singing, music and dancing in the Crossroads Inn.
Calling all households - once again our Saturday morning tidy up will take place every Saturday morning at 11am meeting at the Football pitch and finishing at 12.30. This is the time of year for pruning, planning and general cleaning in preparation for spring. We would be grateful if you could spare any time any Saturday to give a helping hand. Mighty work has already taken place in a short space of time.
Bonus Ball Draw
Lisryan and District local Lotto is going well there are still a few numbers left to purchase, â€œIf youâ€™re not in you canâ€™t winâ€. Congratulations to those that have won already, someone has been lucky twice! All you have to do is buy a number, â‚¬10 for five weeks â‚¬20 for ten weeks etc. and if your number is the bonus ball in the main Saturday night lotto draw you win half of what is in the pot. There is a WINNER every week. Last weeksâ€™ bonus ball was 12 â€“ winner Deirdre Fitzpatrick.
Vintage Society Presentation
On Saturday, September 27th, a presentation will take place in Feerickâ€™s Hotel, Rathowen. Music on the night by Geraldine & Misty Midlands. Special Guest Kevin Cunniffe. Cheques will be presented to the Irish Heart Foundation and St Fintanâ€™s NS, Lismacaffrey School Committee. All families are asked to support this function. Raffle and finger food on the night. No cover charge.
Streete Wildlife Club
The annual club membersâ€™ clay shoot is due to be held on Saturday, 25th October next and all members will receive full details shortly. However, is should be noted that the proceeds from this yearsâ€™ shoot will go to the Irish Cancer Society, as our club member Tommy Denning is running the Dublin City Marathon for the Irish Cancer Society. If there is anyone you may wish to make a donation to this cause, please contact Club Treasurer, Willie Campbell (086-2582370) or Club Secretary Seamus Denning (087-6213500) on or before the 25 October. On behalf of the club, we offer our sympathy to Breda Smith, Lismacaffrey on the death of her father recently.
