What’s another Year!

The Drumgownagh School Reunion Committee are going down memory lane again. They are having a first anniversary party on Saturday, 2nd August. The celebrations will start with refreshments in “The Welcome Inn” following 8pm Mass in Cornageeha Church. A great night of traditional and country music, song and dance is planned. It will be another opportunity for past pupils to meet up again or perhaps meet someone they missed out on at the Reunion. This party isn’t just for Drumgownagh past pupils, everyone is welcome – an important date for the diary!

All-Ireland winner

Congratulations to local Lough Rynn man, Eanna Madden on his fantastic feat of winning two gold medals at the recent All Ireland Under 23 Athletics Championships in Cork. Eanna won the 100m and 200 metre sprints, which is some achievement for this young talented athlete. Eanna is also a top class GAA footballer. We hope to see him progress to even greater heights on the track. Well done again, Eanna

A sincere thanks to all who donated to the Gortletteragh Playgroup collection taken up at all three churches in the parish recently. A total of €258.58 was collected.
