Gowna GAA presents â€œPadraig Potts Guide to Walkingâ€ in St Brigidâ€™s Community Centre on Thursday night, 24th July at 8.30pm. Rosie run in aid of Motor Neuron Disease Association (IMNDA) will take place on Sunday next, 20th July at 1pm. Registration will begin at 11.30 in the Community Centre. Active Age tour
Our annual 3 day tour will take place from Tuesday, 12 August to Thursday, 14th August. Travelling to Limerick. All are welcome, including people outside of the Gowna area. Cost of tour 200 euro. Please leave your deposit or full payment at Loch Gowna post office before Friday, 1st August.
Congratulations to Lizzie Donohoe, Derrycassin, Dring and Barry Kiernan, Colmcille who were married on Saturday, 5th July in St Columbaâ€™s Church, Mullinalaghta. To celebrate the occasion, a very enjoyable reception was held in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon. We wish Lizzie and Barry many years of health and happiness in their married life together.

Blessing of the graves will take place in the cemetery beside the Church this Sunday, 20th July following 11am Mass and in the Corfree Road Cemetery on Sunday, 27th July. Mass will be celebrated in the Corfree Road cemetery, weather permitting.
Deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs Christina Sheridan, Broad Road, Arva on the death of her husband, Vincent (Vinnie) which occurred on Friday, 11th July at College View Nursing Home, Cavan. Also sympathy to his son, Martin, daughters Geraldine and Carmel, brother John Joe, sister in law, sons in law, daughter in law, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. His remains were removed from McMahonâ€™s funeral Home, Cavan to the church of the Sacred Heart, Arva on Saturday evening and following funeral mass on Sunday, burial took place in Coronea cemetery. May he rest in peace.
A social evening will be held in Michael Dolanâ€™s lounge Aughnacliffe in aid of St Thomas Restoration Fund (Colmcille) and the the Dialysis Unit of Cavan General Hospital on Saturday, the 19th July.
