Community Games

The annual art competition will be held on Saturday next, 10 May in Killashee National School at 11am. Competitions are for boys and girls from U-8s to U-16s. All competitors are asked to bring their own pens, pencils etc., paper will be supplied. On Sunday, 11th May the annual Community Games sports day will be held at the football pitch in Killashee at 2pm. Races, track and field events for competitors from U-8s to U-16s.


Congratulations to Amanda Stewart who took part in the Longford Rose of Tralee selection. Amanda, who received the Clubperson of the Year award from St. Brigid’s GAA Club earlier this year was sponsored by the club and was escorted by the dashing Emmett Skelly. By all accounts, it was a super experience, well done to all concerned.


St. Brigid’s played Moydow on Thursday, 1st May and came away with a convincing win, well done lads. The local Lotto draw was held on Monday, 5th May. Results next week.


Deepest sympathy is extended to Tommy Flanagan and family, Derryadd, Kenagh on the death of Tommy’s wife, Ann, whose funeral took place on Monday last. May her Soul Rest in Peace
