“Our Roots in Stone”

Luke Baxter would like to thank everyone who helped him before and during the recent launch of his book, “Our Roots in Stone.” The project took a long time to come to fruition and many people assisted him along the way. The launch in Lyons’s pub was a great success and local people were delighted that such a valuable record of Ardagh’s history has been preserved for future generations. “Our Roots in Stone” is published by Luke Baxter in association with Ardagh Tidy Towns Committee. The book is available at Baxter’s pharmacy in Longford and at Lyons’s shop in Ardagh. Price €10. Enquiries from overseas are welcome. For details of postage to anywhere in the world, please email Luke at lbaxter@iol.ie
