A 2014 Calendar with over 60 photographs of images of the Parish has been produced and is on sale in the region for 10 euro.The Calendar is sponsored by Cllr Tom Crosby and is for sale and we are told that this Calendar would make an ideal Christmas Gift. School Concert brilliant
Cloonfower National School held its annual Concert in St. Barryâ€™s Hall on Friday night, 13th December. The musical â€œBig Bad Benâ€ was just brilliant, a great performance all round. And what about those costumes, they were just great. Well done to all. We will mention the total cast next week.
Well done to the pupils and teachers of Ballyfeeney National School who did a lovely show on the local radio last Sunday evening. We extend congratulations to Principal Mrs McDonnell, other teachers and the students for some great radio work.
Strokestownâ€™s first Goal Mile will take place on St. Stephenâ€™s Day at 1pm, commencing at Parish Church. Sponsorships cards available in local shops. So give up half an hour of your day to assist the people in very difficult positions throughout the World. The walk is been organised by Andrew Reynolds.

Special Water Ski
A special water ski will take place on Christmas morning as aâ€Tributeâ€ to the late Brian King. Enquiries to 087-6356729. The event is been organised by Whitehall/Kilglass Special Needs Group. The launch of the event took place at Strokestown Golf last Friday night. Lines are now on sale throughout the region and more details will become available in the coming weeks.

Celebration of Lord Forgiveness
A celebration of Lord Forgiveness will be celebrated on Monday 23rd December. The priests of the area will be available at 6pm in Ruskey, 7pm in Whitehall and 8pm in Strokestown. All parishioners of the Community are invited to this celebration.
St. Barryâ€™s AGM.
Treasurers of the St.Barryâ€™s GAA club Paddy Wallace and Eoin Oâ€™Boyle gave a very detailed account of the financial transactions of the club at the recent AGM. Paddyâ€™s and Eoinâ€™s report was warmly received by members. Paddy informed delegates that he wished to step down from the position of Treasurer but would continue to work for the betterment of St. Barryâ€™s GAA. Next year we will give you more reports from the AGM.
