The local GFC are holding a Golden Re-Union on Saturday December 28th to mark the 1963 County Championship win. The evening will commence with Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran at 8pm followed by celebration dinner in the Pikers Lodge, Gowna at 9.15. The 1963 win was a huge celebration for the parish as the Club having won seven championships from 1942 to 1950 had a lean period and it took a new generation of players to restore glory that year. It is expected there will be much demand on tickets which are on sale from Club members at €30.
