Ballinamuck ICA: The May meeting of the above Guild will take place next Monday night May 20th at 8pm sharp in the Visitors Centre, Ballinamuck. All members are requested to attend. Marie McAvennia a Tubberware representative will attend the meeting at 9pm. Non members are very welcome to come along.
Tidy Town’s: A major clean up is happening this Saturday the 18th in preparation for our 2013 National Tidy Town entry- for the mechanical Street Sweep on 21st / 22nd May - we appeal for extra help on every street and approach road into Drumlish to unloose the debris at the kerbs – Good weather is promised for this weekend and there is so much to do – and this is also National Volunteering Week – so come on board. Fr. Manning Gaels: The Annual Mass for deceased players, relatives and friends of Fr Manning Gaels, St Vincent’s Minor Club and St Helen’s Ladies Club will take place on Sunday, 19th May at 11am Mass in Drumlish Church.
Ballinamuck playground: A big thank you to all of you that turned out for our meeting, a follow up meeting Thursday 16th 8.30pm all welcome.
Monaduff Social Club: The next social will be held on Saturday May 25th in Monaduff from 3 – 5pm. This gathering will be part of the 2013 Bealtaine Festival and it will be hosted by broadcaster Aiden O’Hara- remembering our great Irish singers. Come and enjoy a few hours of pure nostalgia. Deposits of €50 or any payment you wish towards the 4 day trip to Killarney on September 23rd will be collected on May 25th. We extend our thanks to Longford Co.Council for the generous donation to our Club, also to Brendan Daly and Pat McNally for coming and providing the music and singing for our March meeting and social much to everyone’s enjoyment. A committee meeting will be held on Monday 20th May at 8pm.
Cash for Clobber collection: Ballinamuck National School will have a clothes collection on morning of Wednesday 22nd May from school. All items of clothing, curtains, shoes and handbags will be collected. (please note no Duvets or pillows). Please drop off at school gates on morning of 22nd . The money we receive from these clothes collections is part of our fundraising for the school as is used to subsidise busses for school activities and classroom resources. Garden Open Day: The Annual Garden Open Day, hosted by Paddy and Mary Gillooley takes place after 11.00am Mass on Sunday May 26th . Proceeds in aid of Irish Cancer Society.
Bingo: Takes place in the ’98 memorial hall every Tuesday at 9pm. Prize fund every night €1,300. All are welcome.
Confirmation: Congratulations to all the young people from the Parish who were confirmed on Sunday last by Bishop Colm O’Reilly in St. Mary’s Church Drumlish. Congratulations to all their parents, teachers and extended families who helped them prepare for this special day and reach this important stage in their lives. We pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit on all these young people now and in the future. We hope you all had a wonderful day.

SIAMSA!: An Irish Language Summer Course (SIAMSA!) will take place from Monday 8th July to Friday 12th July in Gaelscoil Longfoirt. The course will take place from 9.30am to 3.00pm each day and will cater for students from Third to Sixth class.
