Mostrim G.A.A.: Mostrim GAA: Our annual Dinner Dance is on Friday night in the Rustic Inn with music by Aisling and the Dance On Band. Tommy Gallagher will run a bus if there is enough demand. Please ring 0872585750 to make enquiries or booking. There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 7, 12, 17, 28. Twenty-five Euro winners were Maura Kenny, James McKeon, Willie Monaghan and Mary Farrell Dublin. Mobile phones needed to get new up to date cabinet for the defibrillator.

Ladies Football Fundraiser: Mostrim Ladies Football in association with the Carers Association are holding a fundraising initiative selling St Patrick’s Day ribbons. Please support the work of family carers and your local ladies football club in the community and buy a ribbon for €2. 


Retired Teacher’s Association: Rosemary Midland Retired Secondary Teacher’s Association will meet on Tuesday, March 19th in Longford Library at 11am. Laura Thompson of Healthy Options will speak on all things health related and answer questions. Laura promotes holistic/natural therapies/products and is very qualified in same. Suitable for the men too!! We will then have our meeting followed by lunch. Look forward to seeing you...please bring a friend. Granard Adult Learning Centre: Parents  Get Ready For First Year Maths.  Adult Learning is running a short course on first year maths to prepare parents to be able to help with maths homework. GAA Day in St. Mary’s N.S: Last Wednesday, the Wolfe Tones Minor Football Club held a ‘GAA Day’ in St. Mary’s N.S Edgeworthstown in an attempt to raise awareness of football at underage level in the area. All children wore the red and green of Mostrim and coaches from both the county board and the club took children from all classes for coaching sessions. In the run up to GAA Day, children from all classes took part in art competitions with the junior classes colouring and drawing pictures while senior classes were given the task of designing a poster to promote football in Edgeworthstown. The overall winner was Isabella McGovern and her poster is on display in shops and businesses throughout the town so please keep an eye out for it!
