Seamus Gallagher: The unexpected death of Seamus Gallagher, Cavan, Eslin, at his home on December 22 has caused widespread regret in the community. Seamus was a gentleman of many qualities. His business, known as Gallagher’s Carpets, was doing well. It was always a pleasure to do business with him as he did credit to anything he undertook. He was very generous and sponsored Eslin GAA team, who formed a guard of honour at his funeral. The very large attendance at his requiem mass was indeed testimony to the high esteem in which he and family were held in the community and to whom we offer our most sincere sympathy.
