Halloween Mid-term Camp: At Club Ardagh from 30/10 - 2/11. Daily Schedule: Tues. (Fun & Games Day), Wed. (Outdoor Exploring & Dress Up), Thurs. (Sports), Fri. AMG Community Games: selection sheets for 1st set of activities are due back now. If any child has not handed in their form and they want to participate in chess, draughts, table tennis, badminton, outdoor soccer, art, swimming, quiz- please contact Brigette, Noelle, Eamon or Leslie immediately. Deadline is Fri Oct 26. Chess and draughts competitions start in November so all children should get in extra practice at home over the mid term break to be ready to play. We have had a fantastic response from TY students and are delighted to welcome Shane Finnan, David Whitney, Cormac Dennigan, Dayna Victory and Aphra Hartmann as our Young Leaders at the AMG CG Youth Club every Friday evening.

Family Night Out: St. Patrick’s GFC. draw for the John Deere takes place in the Community Centre on Saturday 27th October A great family night out is organised showcasing the best of local talent commencing at 8.30. Tractor draw takes place at 9.30. Light refreshments served, great spot prizes including a weekend away at the Maldron Hotel Dublin . Free admission.

Halloween Party: The parents association of St. Mel’s National School are holding the annual Halloween party in the Community Centre on Wednesday 31st October from 6 to 8 pm. Adm €2 Adults free. All are welcome

Pioneer News: The Longford region of the P.T.A.A. Annual Dinner Dance will take place on Friday 9th November in the Rustic Inn Abbeyshrule Music by J&S Sound Dinner 9pm. Tickets €25

Card Drive: Scoil Bhride parents association will hold their annual 25 card drive on Friday 9th November at 8.30 in Scoil Bhride Glen. Eveeryone welcome, guaranteed to be an enjoyable night, €300 in prizes to be won. Free raffle and refreshments will be served.

A Nativity: – Ardagh Music Room & Creative Ardagh present:  A Christmas Production for primary school aged children.  We are looking for 1st-6th Class children to participate in the Production of A Nativity Play, this will included, set design, costume, make-up, promotion and singing and acting.  All children are welcome to sign up to any or all of the activities.  There will be an Expressions of Interest/Registration period from 3:00pm to 3:45 this Friday 26th October in Ardagh Heritage & Creativity Centre or text Joanna on 086 237 2616.  Junior and Senior Infants will have opportunities of their own to form a Christmas Choir – singing favourite Christmas songs to open the Christmas Production.  For further information or any queries, please contact Joanna, Ann or Annette 086 302 7602.  Full details of rehearsal days/times and prices on our website, www.creativeardagh.com.

Workshop: October Music Workshop. A Music Workshop will be held in Club Ardagh for Second/Third Level Students over the Halloween break. The workshop will be participant led and include aspects of performance, recording, song writing & music promotion.
