BADMINTON: continues every Monday and Wednesday night in Saint Dominics Centre from 9pm .New players always welcome.

GAA: Next Sunday October 28th will be a landmark day for Kenagh GAA Club. After at least two years planning and hard work the long awaited walking and running track will be officially opened. The opening ceremony will begin at 1pm.This event will also be a family fun day with something for all ages. Every family in the parish are invited to come and enjoy the day. The track has been laid down around the pitch and is of the very highest standards. Lighting has been installed which leaves it a very safe place to walk even in the middle of winter. All the work on the track has been carried out by local operatives. Come and enjoy a good days entertainment.

MENTAL HEALTH: Longford Town ICA and Longford Mental Health Association are hosting an evening entitled ‘How to Mind your State of Mind’ in the Family Centre, Longford on October 22 at 7.30pm.Speakers are Finnola Colgan,Development Officer Mental Health Ireland, Mary Kennedy and Ann Howard Longford Mental Health Association ,Josephine McCloughry Wrap Facilitator,Donal - Grow who will give his testimony. STATION: There will be a station Mass at the home of Michael and Rose Egan on this Thursday night October 25 at 8pm.

PROGRESSIVE TWENTY FIVE: Winners in Saint Dominics Centre last Thursday night were Val and Pat,Michael and Tom,Peter and Mary, Ita and Willie ten games each they share 160 euro. CANAL NEWS: There will be a meeting of the Foigha Kenagh Royal Canal Group in the Enterprise Centre on this Friday night October 26th at 7.30. All members please attend.

HALLOWEEN: There will be a Halloween Party for all local children at Mosstown Harbour on Wednesday October 31st at 6pm.There will be fun,games and refreshments for all. There will be music and a bonfire with story telling during the evening. All weather permitting of course.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION: St Dominics NS Parents Association. The Halloween Fancy Dress Disco will take place this Friday 26th October from 5.30pm to 7pm in the community centre.
