Successful Feis: The annual CRN Drumreilly Feis, held on Sunday October 7th and hosted by the Mc Cartin SD, once again attracted a capacity crowd. Dancers travelled from counties Leitrim, Sligo, Roscommon, Mayo, Longford, Westmeath, Meath and Dublin to participate in an event which lasted over twelve hours. Thanks is due to the parents and senior dancers of the McCartin SD for their assistance in the organisation of the event. Athletics: The Connacht Primary Schools Race Walking Championships in conjunction with the Cross Country events were held in Calry, Sligo on Saturday October 15th. We congratulate Drumlea N.S. pupil Oníosa Mimna, daughter of Tomás and Rosie Mimna, Drumshangore on winning the bronze medal in her event.

Active Age Snippets: Fifteen members attended the weekly meeting, which followed the first of the Social Dancing sessions on Wednesday October 17th. The main items on the agenda were the Shoebox Appeal, the Drumreilly Halloween Social on next Tuesday October 30th, the Cheese Intervention Scheme, Digital TV the Cloone-Aughavas Harvest Ball on Thursday November 8th and Furniture restoration classes at Meiltron. Social Dancing (7pm-9pm) before this Wednesday’s meeting. All are asked to attend this meeting to discuss organisation of the Halloween Social etc.
Pastoral Council Election: As the Pastoral Council’s and Finance Council’s term is ending, voting for the new Pastoral Council will take place following Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumlea on Saturday next October 27th. Persons over 16 years may vote for a male or a female from their group of townlands, and may not vote for persons from other groups. Extra ballot papers are available on request from the Parochial House or from the members of the outgoing Council. All ballot papers must be delivered to the Parochial House by Wednesday next October 31st.
