Jack McCormack Cup: Next Thursday Westmeath inter county team visit The Acres to take on The Longford inter county team in a challenge match for the Jack McCormack Memorial Cup. Anybody is welcome to watch this entertaining challenge with some good pitch and putt guarenteed also Longford need all the support they can get to try an win this cup for the first time starting at 6pm. The course will be closed to the public from 4pm on Thursday. We would like to wish the County team all the best for Sunday next in the Leinister finals in Stackallen.

PLAN LAUNCH: The local community group will be launching their recently prepared community plan this Friday night in Curraghcahill Hall at 8.30pm.Everybody in the area are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
TIDY TOWNS: The following is the result of the annual Duck Derby on the River Camlin 1st Bernard Brogan Kilnacarrow; 2nd Philip Reilly; 3rd Mary McManus Dernacross. Thanks to all who bought ducks and a special thanks to Derek Reynolds Soran who set up the course on the river. There was a poor attendance at the BBQ and function in Farrells on Sunday night which was disappointing considering the amount of work that was done by the various schemes throughout the parish and the village in particular. A number of planned projects will not take place now due to lack of funding. Many thanks to Martin and Mary Farrell for providing the music and spot prizes on the night.
