JIM GANNON: The death of Jim Gannon Clontumpher Bornacoola on the 23rd march 2012 has caused deep regret in the community. He died surrounded by his family at the north west hospice Sligo after a long illness borne courageously and with dignity. We all remember Jim when he was an active member of Irish life Insurance where he was held in the highest esteem. He was a great family man with many qualities who will be very sadly missed. The very large attendance at his removal to St Michaels Church Bornacoola and again at his requiem mass and burial in Cloonmorris cemetery was indeed a fair indication of the high esteem in which Jim ,his wife Mary their sons daughters grandchildren brother and their extended family were held by the community and to whom I offer my deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace.
