HALLOWEEN PARTY: We had a very successful Halloween party at Mosstown Canal Harbour last Monday evening from 6 to 9pm. Although heavy rain threatened many times during the day every thing worked out well in the end with a beautiful dry calm evening which created a wonderful party atmosphere. The moonlight blended very well with the two bonfires (legal) which were very much a part of a traditional Halloween party. An estimated 350 to 400 people attended which included up to 150 children who enjoyed themselves immensely. This was a great community effort involving three organisations as follows KDDA,the RCAG and newly formed Wetlands Ireland. Thanks to all those who supplied treats for the children, eats and refreshments for adults and the musicians. Thanks to all who supplied free material and those who acteed as safety stewards. Everyone was in agreement that it was the beginning of something that could be continued and improved from this very successful get together. Thanks to all concerned for a great evening.
