CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS: Congratulations to the very hard working team who organised the centenary celebrations of the Canon Donohoe Memorial Hall over last weekend. The gathering and collating of articles photos artists and sponsors is a momentous task. On Friday night Mrs Eileen Kelly launched the centenary book . At 102 years, this beautiful lady is an inspiration to us all. Thanks to the beautiful singers,dancers musicians and last but not least the cast of “Mrs Willis’s Will” a comedy that was first performed in the hall on its opening night 100 years ago in 1911.

MOHILL AUTHOR: Alan Early of Main Street Mohill eldest son of Luke and Ann has secured a 3 book deal with Ireland’s oldest independent publishing house Mercier Press. ‘Arthur Quinn and the world serpent’ is the fist in a series of books based upon the character of Arthur Quinn. The book is aimed at children 8 years and older and is a fantasy story and is now available in all good book stores and online at www.mercierpress.com. The website is wwww.arthurquinn.ie. From an early age Alan wrote short stories and short films. Alan studied film and television in the national film school in Dun Laoighre and upon graduation he co founded Annville Films.
