MRS MARGART SMITH: There was widespread regret with the news of the death of Mrs Margaret (Baba) Smith Portanure Loch Gowna which occurred at Lisdarn unit for the elderly Cavan on Saturday 11th June in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Michael in 1971. A highly respected lady in the community who always enjoyed a bi of banter when in good health she always attended events in the social club. Margaret was a very friendly lady and will be sadly missed by her friends and especially by her son Seamus daughter Anna Mae, son in law Tommie, daughter in law Bridie, grandchildren relatives and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathy. Her remains were removed from Finnegans Funeral Home Cavan on Sunday evening to the Church of the Holy Family Loch Gowna and following requiem Mass on Monday morning at her burial took place in adjoining cemetery. May she rest in peace.
