SCHOOL: Children and parents at St Mary’s National school Edgeworthstown will present the first international day on Friday June 24th from 12.30 – 2.30pm. The day’s activities commence at 12.30 with the raising of the green flag. The children have worked on environmental projects based on liter and waste reduction and their efforts have culminated in the green flag award. There are children from 14 countries in the school ireland Poland Portugal Nigeria Lihunania Lativa UK Romania USAS New Zealand Czech Republic India Pakistan. The children are working on projects on each country while the adults will present national dress food music and culture. All are welcome to come along and learn something new.

MESA: MESA is a service which enables people with disabilities to access mainstream employment opportunities. An employment officer from Mesa will be available in the Green Edgeworthstown on Wednesday 22nd June 2011 from 2.30pm – 4.30pm. INFORMATION: Edgeworhstown citizens information outreach service is a free and confidential service which provides information on benefits rights & entitlements on employment social welfare health housing tax education justice & consumer affairs. This service is available in the Green Edgeworthstown every Friday afternoon from 4pm – 6pm.

SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB: The Senior citizens meet every Friday morning for refreshments, bingo cards & entertainment from 11am -1.30pm. New members welcome.

FAMILY FUNDAY: Edgeworthstown Development will be holding their family field day in the Green on Sunday 24th July. Bouncing castles face painting novelty stalls and much more.
