CEMETERY SUNDAY: This Sunday June 26th is cemetery Sunday Mass will be celebrated in the cemetery at 12 noon. There will be no 11am mass in the Church. Following the blessing of the graves and Mass in the new cemetery the graves in the old cemetery will be blessed at approximately 1pm.

THANKS: The organisers of the Irish Cancer Society Church gate collection wish to thank the collectors and all who contributed. The amount collected was 526.34 euro. Thanks also to all who contributed to the “Alive Monthly” collection which amounted to 385 euro.

Tidy Towns News: - our team of local volunteers is increasing every day and the amount of work being done is extraordinary. many thanks to everyone who is supporting us and for all those giving a hand to make our village look so well. the fas team are working very hard and making a real difference. it’s great to see people out at all different times, beware if you are passing one of us....it has been know for walkers to be nabbed into a job on route. our painters and flower planters are giving their time and expertise willingly and both entrances to the village are looking beautiful. the new planters outside the church are magnificent and set it off very well. our original village signs have been replaced with new drawings done by the children of scoil mhuire. congratulations to the winners and mrs daly for arranging the competition and to thomas casey for sponsoring the prizes. the new signs can be seen outside the gaa complex and on the station road. the church gate collection raised badly needed funds and many thanks to all our generous benafactors who have made our work possible. we will acknowledgeyou all at a later stage. the adjudicators could be around at any time now so please continue to be vigilant around your own property.
