50th Anniversary: The 30th June will mark the 50th anniversary of Annaduff winning the county under 14 title.It was the first full under age county title won by Annaduff in 1961.The manager of the team was Fr. Sean Manning. Four members of the panel are deceased Mick McGarry, Alo. McLoughlin, Mel Lavin, Johnny Costello.

Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to Rita Hoare and the extended Hoare family on the death of her husband Hugie Hoare , Mullagh , Rooskey . Hughie was a member of staff in Hanley Meats, Rooskey for over 30 years. Removal took place to Kilglass Church with burial in Kilmore Cemetery. Hughie will be sadly missed . May he rest in peace.

Division 1: Annaduff beat Allen Gaels in Annaduff on Saturday evening by 2-8 to 1-7.Allen Gaels were dominant in the first half and led by 2-8 to 1-7 at the break.Annaduff upped their game in the second half and ended up deserving if uninspiring winners by four points. Lotto: At the draw held in Duignan’s of Drumsna, there was no Jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 8,11,14 and 21.The 50 euro winner was Martha Harte, Aughamore. The 25 euro winners were Seamus Farrell, Drumsna, Ellen Hennessy, Drumsna, Liam Faughnan, Aughintass, Oriel Glancy, Dromod. The next draw will be held in Cox’s Steakhouse Bar, Dromod on Sunday night next.

Bon Voyage: Best Wishes to Noel Ward, Gortinty who headed off to Darwin, Australia on Wednesday.

Kilglass GAA: The club is hosting a “Pig on the Stick” on Sunday next 26th June at Kilglass grounds. The pig will be roasted by a professional chef and the food served hot.Live music on the day along with Gay Cassidy Dancers. Special guests Sean Nos ar an tSionann.The day will conclude with music with Marty and Hammer at 9pm. Admission 5 euro with full bar.

40th Birthday: Congratulations to Enda Lyons, Dromod who celebrated his 40th last week.

Penalty Points: Out of a total of 3,747 penalty points issued to Leitrim drivers in April,3,016 were issued for breaking the speed limit.2,395 drivers in the county have two penalty points.
