DEATH OF MRS ROSALEEN BRADY: There is widespread regret in the area and surrouding parishes at the death of Mrs Rosaleen Brady Bredagh Carrigallen which has occurred at the Esker Nursing Home Cavan following a brief illness. She was in her 85th year. She was a member of a very popular McManus family Killeshandra coming to the parish on the marriage to her late husband Benny Brady ,the popular postman of Killegarry post office. The mother of a large family on the retirement of the late Patrick Crudden from farming the couple purchased his farm. The couple and their family worked very hard on their new purchase. She endeared herself to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing this fine lady who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a great bingo fan and loved meeting people who were also welcome to her home. Indeed the parish is much the poorer for her passing . Sympathy is extended to her sons Padraig Brian & Felim Carrigallen, Ambrose Ballyconnell, daughters Susan Pauline & Mary in England ,Geraldine Balieboro Co Cavan Kitty and Barbara Carrigallen, sons in law and daughters in law grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Mr Leo McManus Arva. The removal of remains and funeral from Saint Mary’s Church Drumeela was very large and representative. The remains were received by Very Rev Charles Heerey PP Ballinamore. The requiem mass was celebrated by Very Rev Eamonn Lynch PP Ballyconell. Burial took place in adjoining cemetery. May she RIP.
