This fabulous Leonard Coen piece ‘Halleluiah’ will be performed by the equally fabulous soprano Pearl Kielty at the Mohill based ‘Sweet Spirit Gospel & Country Choir’s concert under the direction of Mohill native Tish Dunleavy. Tish on electric piano will be joined by Padraig Donohue of ‘Evening Star’ fame on drums and Sean Mahon (Rodeo Man) on guitar & banjo. Some new pieces along with the old favourites will be performed on the night. Beneficiaries are: ‘Arus Carolan Patient Comfort Fund’, St. Manachan’s Outreach Special Class and ‘Goal’ c/o Noel Mahon Bornacoola. The show will take place in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill (opposite Library) on Sunday evening 22nd March 2015 at 8pm. Admission is €10 and includes a hot toddy!

Well done to the following students who graded successfully last week.- Newtownforbes - Patrick, Sorcha, Nathan & Katie. Kilglass - Niamh, Niall, Naithi, Riona, Aaron, Ben, Senan, Benedict & Oisin. Some of our students were suffering from the dreaded bug at the time but still managed to put in great performances. It is great to see so many students putting in such a tremendous and consistent effort. Our next squad training is on Saturday 14th in Newcastle. Further information available at class. We had a very enjoyable meeting on Tuesday last and thank you to all who attended. Thanks to Kathleen Kelly information officer within Federation who attended our meeting, it’s nice to see federation officers interested in the guilds. A big congrats and well done to Anna Delaney federation international officer who organised a lovely evening on Saturday for International women’s day. We are holding a children’s craft day on Saturday March the 14th from 10.30am to 3.30pm,in the parish hall, we still have some spaces left so if you think your child might enjoy this you can phone Olive on 0868368277 for more information. Our next meeting will be held on April 7th at 8.30pm, as this is our AGM we would like to see a full house and the down side, membership fees of €51 are due at this meeting. Our competition winner was Sandra Rooney lovely pot of gold Sandra, our raffle winner was Kathleen Kelly, well done to both. Our competition for next month is a poster for a hen party, we are looking forward to this one. Mairead and Olive are on teas, so if you think you might like to join us, remember you can attend two meetings without any obligation to join, you will get a warm welcome,and of course the ever popular cuppa. Clonguish GAA Club are holding a 5K Run/Walk on Easter Sunday, 5th April, 2015. Race start time is 12.00 pm with registration between 10.30 am - 11.30 am. Entry Fees are €10 per Runner, €5 per Walker and €5 per Juvenile.

New Parish Pastoral Council
In the coming weeks a new Parish Pastoral Council will be formed. Its term will be for four years. It will consist of five men and five women. To start the process of forming the new council a box will be placed at each door of the church into which people of the parish are invited to put forward the names of people you think would be suitable to serve on such a council. The boxes will remain until Palm Sunday. You may also give the names to any of the outgoing Parish Pastoral Council.
Lent is traditionally the time for the Station Masses along with the month of October. If any home would like to host a Station Mass in their area please contact Fr. McGovern. Station masses can be celebrated up to the end of May.
A rosary making group meet in the parish hall in Newtownforbes, every Monday at 1.30 pm.
