Newtowncashel Drama Group is pleased to announce that for the first time in the history of our group, we will be performing on the All Ireland One Act Drama Festival. Our chosen play, “Cliff’s Edge”, by Paul Beard is set on the majestic white cliffs of Beachy Head on the south coast of England. In this spectacular scene are three peculiar characters, a suicidal failed actor, a maniacally depressed pub landlord and a schizophrenic passer by. With such a sensational combination this blackest of comedies is sure to entertain. Now being performed worldwide this carefully researched piece of modern theatre has received critical acclaim since its showcase in Edinburgh and subsequent productions in Chicago, Madrid, Stockholm, Melbourne and Prague. Our performances will be as follows: Saturday 8th November, Gallonray House, Cootehill, Co Cavan. Friday 14th November, An Grianán, Letterkenny, Co Donegal. Sunday 16th November, Bog Lane Theatre, Ballymahon, Co Longford. We hope our wonderful fans can join us for this exciting endeavor.
