It is all go for the participants of the Rose of Tralee International Festival 2014 as they tour around our beautiful country. This year they have came to lovely Leitrim where they went on a boat trip on Moon River, attended a gala dinner in Lough Rynn Castle Estate Hotel, among other events. One of the other events was ‘how to brush dance’ under the guidance of previous Leitrim Rose Edwina Guckian, this of course was no trouble to Dublin Rose Róisín Lyons, who has Carrigallen blood running through her, her father Gerry is a member of the highly respected Lyons family from Killahurk, Carrigallen and she is a professional Irish dancer with Lord of the Dance, she danced alongside Michael Flatley for the return tour in 2010 and later became the lead dancer in 2012. Róisín continued to tour the world joining a new production ‘Heartbeat of Home’ by the producers of Riverdance in 2013. Good luck to all the Roses and wishing Róisín all the best in the Dome!
