Paul elected to County Council
We are delighted to congratulate local man, Paul Ross who was elected to Longford County Council and retained the seat held by Larry Bannon for the past ten years. Paul has been involved in all community activities throughout his life. Particularly in GAA, having played inter County football for Longford and of course Legan Sarsfields where he is still a key member of the present team. He is also active in IFA, Text Alert to name but a few. Politics is in Paul’s blood as his grandfather, Joe Ross served as county councillor for this area for many years. We wish him good luck and hope he enjoys the challenge over the next five years. We would also like to pay tribute to Larry Bannon who has represented the people of this area for the past ten years admirably. We also congratulate Mick Cahill from nearby Colehill, who was re-elected for another term. Mick has also worked hard to represent the people of this area.
