We had a very enjoyable night in Newcastle House on Thursday night and well done to all involved. A big thank you to national president Liz Wall for attending. On Saturday, 11 brave ladies braved the weather and came to Ballinalee to practice pitch and putt in preparation for our competition which we hope to run on Saturday 26th April. Our craft class continues every Tuesday night at 7.30pm in The Baldy Sheep. Our next meeting takes place on Tuesday April 2nd at 8.30pm in the parish hall. As this is our AGM a full attendance would be appreciated. The competition is an Easter Bonnet and Mary and Olive are on teas. We would love to see some new faces, so if you think you might like to join us, please feel free to come along, the first two meetings are free.
The Parish Pastoral Council hope to honour the year (150 Anniversary) with a Good Friday Passion Play. To do this they need help. They need people to play different parts – about twelve. No acting experience is needed. They need to hurry as Easter is four weeks away. Please give your name to Fr. Mc Govern, Anne O’Brien or any member of the Parish Pastoral Council.
Lent is the time of the year to celebrate the station masses. Anyone wishing to host a Station Mass for their area please contact Fr. McGovern.
