Results of the John Frank Smyth Memorial Fishing Competition that took place on Sunday, 16th March on Aughamoran Lake: 1st: John Boyle, Aughnacliffe; 2nd Ciaran Lee, Arva; 3rd: Terry Brennan, Cortober, Arva; 4th: Declan Gumley, Arva. Ten boats participated.

Kiltegan Fathers will visit the parish on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th March. They will say mass in both churches and also make an appeal for the Missions. Your support would be appreciated.

Summer time will come into effect this Saturday night, 29th March, when clocks go forward one hour.

Social Dancing
Social Dancing continue in the Pikers Lodge Hotel every Tuesday night at 8pm. Everyone is welcome.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to John and David Jones, Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, and Gertie Woods, Ballyconnell, on the death of their mother Mrs. Elizabeth Jones, (nee Woodhouse), Rathmore, Aughnacliffe, which occurred on Wednesday 12th March at Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet. Also sympathy to her daughters-in-law Mary and Barbara, son-in-law Roy, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her remains were removed from her residence on Friday to St. Thomas Church, Columbkille and following funeral service at 2:30pm, burial took place in adjoining churchyard. Rest in Peace.
