Department of Social Protection
The Department of Social Protection is now open in Granard every Monday morning from 10.00am to 12.00.
This is an important event for your diary, so please note the following dates, 31st January and 1st February 2014 where our Drama Group will perform “A Christening with a Twist”. The Venue is Crover House Hotel at 8.30pm. Entertainment will be provided afterwards by Mary O’Connor on January 31st and Chuck and June on February 1st. Jog the Mall
Longford Sports Partnership will host a meet and train group to provide people with the opportunity to jog on a regular basis. Learn how to jog correctly with the support of a coach. Take part and choose a pace appropriate for you, suitable for all fitness levels. This meet and train group will start tomorrow, Thursday 16 January – 20 February at 1.00pm in the Mall Complex, meeting at the main door. Cost is €10 for 6 weeks to be paid upfront. Triple P – Positive Parenting Program
One of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world, backed up by more than 30 years of ongoing research. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them confidently manage their children’s behaviour, prevent problems developing and build strong, healthy relationships. This Programme ran by independent facilitators starts in Lus Na Greine Centre on January 29; morning and evening sessions are available to suit all situations. Bookings are now being accepted.
