Get out get active get fit. Five weeks challenge. Saturday 11th January, weigh in at 4pm. Sunday mornings 9am 6.5km walk. Monday evenings pitch lights on from 7-10pm. Boot camp at the pitch 8-9pm. Tuesday evenings Pitch lights on from 7-10pm; Thursday evenings pitch lights on from 7-10pm; Friday evenings pitch lights on from 7-10pm. Fitness class in Thomas Ashe Hall 8 – 9pm. Saturday 15th February: 10km walk/jog/run at 11am. Final weigh in at 1pm. Saturday night at 9.30pm. Awards night in the Stags Head. Music and refreshments on the night. Free draw for all participants who have paid 50 euro entry fee by Sunday 19th January.

Get active get fit
This year’s challenge is underway with over 100 participants. Our 50 walkers took off at 9am on Sunday morning last to kick start the five week challenge. Enclosed is a list of the events weekly with Saturday February 16 the last weigh in, we hope everybody enjoys the challenge.
The pretty wedding took place recently of Gerald Reynolds, son of Frank and Martina and Ann-Claire Richford, daughter of Ann and Gerard, Mountmellick Co Laois in St Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick. The ceremony was celebrated by Fr Patrick Hennessy PP Mountrath. Concelebrants Fr Michael Murphy, Fr Peter Beglan and Fr Sean Bracken. The chief bridesmaid was Marie Richford and bridesmaids Geraldine Richford, Caroline Whelan and Aileen Richford. Bestman was Kevin Reynolds. Groomsmen were Michael and Frank Reynolds and Hugh Kelly. Ushers were Patrick Reynolds and Mark Richford. All the guests enjoyed a beautiful meal in the Heritage Hotel Kilmore and danced the night away into the early hours . We wish the newly wed couple health and happiness in the years ahead.
Tickets are on sale locally for the GAA National Draw for 10 euro. All proceeds go to the local GAA club to cover insurance and application for 2014 which cost the club in the region of 4000 every year. This covers all players mentors etc for 4 years.
Yearly tickets for our lotto up to 31/12/14 are available for 100 euro. This includes club membership. Contact Mr C Sullivan or Michael Carrigy
