We thank Clem Sullivan for organising the presentation on behalf of the Parish Pastrol Council.

It has been a busy few weeks for all the cross country runners with training, primary schools championships and the Connaught athletic club races. Well done to Jack Gallagher, Cathal Farrell, Brendan Finnan and Cian McPhillips on all their efforts in wet and windy conditions. Cian won the U12 Boys Western Region 2K Cross Country held in Sligo and qualified together with his team members Brendan and Cathal for the All Ireland Athletics finals to be held in Santry, Dublin on 17 November. Cathal Farrell also qualified after his10th place finish in the U11 Boys Connaught 1500m Cross Country to go forward to the AAI National Finals at Waterford IT in December. They are all members of Longford Athletic Club with Paddy McPhillips as coach. Best of luck to the lads and Paddy as they take the big step up to National level.
