Sympathy

Sincere sympathy to the Mc Glynn family (late of Russagh Rathowen) on the death of John McGlynn. John’s funeral took place on Friday, November 1 in Rathowen Church with burial afterwards in Russagh Cemetery.

Rathowen ICA

ICA held their raffle on Thursday, October 31 in the Community Hall. The winners were as follows ; 1st William Connaughton, 2nd Kathleen Glennon, 3rd John McGahey, 4th Sinead Wilkinson, 5th Helen Casey.

Other prizes were won by Tom Walsh (Bohala), Noel Murray, Nora Reynolds, M Muson, Paul Connaughton, John Keegan, Daniel Reilly, John Glennon, Mary Farrell. The ICA would like to thank all who supported the draw.

Rathowen Lotto

Winning numbers were 01, 02, 11 and 18. The jackpot of €10,700 wasn’t won. Draw winners were Bridgie Maguire, Shane McGovern and Phil Donoghue. Sellers prize Tommy Lambden. Next draw is in Connaughton’s Pub on November 11 and the jackpot will be worth €10,800.

Table Quiz

Clann Gaels ladies football are holding a quiz in the Covert Pub, Ballinafid on Friday, November 8. Also there will be a medal presentation for the under age. Your support would be appreciated.

Thank You

Dervilla Gilchrist would like to thank everyone who supported her coffee morning. A fantastic sum of €2,150 was raised for the Irish Cancer Society. Thank you.

Congratulations

To Fiona and John Casey on the birth of a baby girl Aoife. Fiona is a daughter of Lily and Bartle Maguire. First grandchild. Congratulations to all. Also to Darren and Carol Fulham on the birth of a baby girl Rose. Darren is a son of Mary and the late Iggy Fulham.

Concert

The Mulligan Sisters will perform operatic and sacred arias, along with musical theatre favourites in the Church of St Camillus, Killucan on Saturday, November 30 at 8pm sharp. Tickets €10 available at the door.
