The Longford Lions Club’s annual cycle in aid of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) will take place on Sunday, June 23 next at 10 am.

The much anticipated cycle will begin at the the Mall Complex in Longford town where a number of route options will be made available to participants - depending on experience or sense of adventure on the day!

Routes include 10km, 30km or 50km and everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.

There is a minimum entry fee of €20 and the organisers are hopeful that the participants will fill out as many sponsorship cards as possible thus helping to support a very deserving cause. Sponsorship cards are available from Quinn Bros, Property Partners on Longford’s Main Street or alternatively, contact Paddy Quinn on (087) 2569801 or Niall Gannon on (087) 8507730.

It has been a busy time for the Lions Club in Longford over the past couple of years, and recently members presented cheques to both Longford Hospice and the Aisling Children’s Festival - all monies raised were the direct result of fundraiser and the organisation would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

“All your support and generosity is very much appreciated,” added Mr Gannon.
