Gaeltacht Scholarships: Interviews for the annual GAA Gaeltacht Scholarships from Cavan Co. Board to Donegal will take at the following venues:Saturday next April 13th 9am in St Clare’s N.S. Cavan and Ballyconnell N.S, Monday April 15th  7pm in St. Clare’s N.S.Cavan. All students between the ages of twelve and eighteen years are eligible to avail of these scholarships.

All Ireland Final: Good luck to the Cnoch Mhuire Granard team in the All-Ireland Vocational Schools Senior ‘A’ Football Championship Final against Holy Trinity College, Cookstown (Tyrone) on Saturday next in Croke Park. The Club is well represented on the team which had just 1pt to spare over Clonakilty in a very exciting semi-final. No doubt the parish will be out in full support for the lads on Saturday.

U-21 Final: Local clubman Enda O’Reilly was on target as usual when his contribution of 5pts in the semi-final last week helped the Cavan side to set up a final place against Donegal tonight Wednesday in Enniskillen. Good luck to the lads as they seek a 3 in a row Ulster title.

Spring Clean: Killydoon Area Dev. is holding their 3rd annual Spring Clean from the Co. Bridge down to Killydoon and surrounding areas on Sat. 13th April from 10 to 1.00 pm. Residents on other roads are encouraged to fill a bag or two, bags will be free on the day and a skip will be available. This clean-up has been well supported in recent years and all volunteers are welcome.

Apostolate of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration: Adoration and Holy Hour will be held in St. Mel’s College, Longford on Sunday 14th April at 4 pm. All welcome.

Irish Wheelchair Assoc: Church Gate collection will be taken up on weekend of 4/5th May next.

Drama: Mullahoran GFC are hosting the hugely popular play “ Victors Dung “ on Sunday April 28th in the Parochial Hall at 8.30pm. Starring  Sea­mus O’Rourke, Char­lie McGuin­ness and Tommy Sharkey. Victor’s Dung is set in a farm yard, com­plete with its very own dung heap, out­door toi­let and rather poor broad­band recep­tion. It is the comic tale of Vic­tor Maguire, a crude, vul­gar, abrupt, un-PC Cavan farmer who gets a sur­prise one Fri­day morn­ing. Tickets are €10 and are available from the local shops and committee members.
