Classes: New Mandolin/Banjo classes resume on the Green on every Saturday at 1pm. New and existing members welcome. Second hand mandolins and banjos for sale.

 

Community Games: The Community Games talent competitions take place in Newtowncashel on Bank Holiday Monday 18th March at 12 noon approx. Practice each Saturday on the Green at 2pm.

DEFIBRILLATOR GROUP: We require 120 mobile phones to provide a new defibrillator box to properly secure the defibrillator. If you have any old phones that you no longer have any use for, please could you drop them in to The Post Office or The Old Schoolhouse Office. Thank you.

Longford C. C. E: Longford C.C.E. will be taking all Fleadh membership fees on Saturday 9th February from 2pm til 4pm. All 3 branches of C.C.E. will be expected to renew their membership fees. We will be taking entries at a later date. €6 per child under 18, €20 per family, €12 per single adult over 18.

Rehab4Life Pilates Classes: Physiotherapist led Pilates Classes suitable for all ages and abilities starting soon.  6 weeks Beginners Pilates class starting Tuesday 12th February, 7pm - 8pm in Lus Na Greine, Granard, Cost  €50.  6 week Pre and Post Natal Pilates Class starting Wednesday 6th March, 7.30pm - 8.30pm in St Marys Community Centre, Edgeworthstown, Cost €70.  Use of foam rollers, theraband and weighted balls to maximise the challenge, and to add variety and the Fun Factor!! LOTTO DRAW: There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 4, 10, 14 and 24. Twenty-five Euro winners were Rose Lynn, Maggie McGerr, Kathleen Clyne c/o Parkhouse Hotel and Damien Clyne.


CLONFIN COMMEMORATION: CLONFIN COMMEMORATION. The annual commemoration of the famous Battle of Clonfin will be held on Sunday next February 3rd starting with Mass for all deceased members at 11-30am in St.Mary’s in Granard and continuing at the site in Clonfin at 3-00pm. A guest speaker will be in attendance. Refreshments will be available in McElvaney’s Coolarty afterwards and all are welcome

COMHALTAS: Membership for all branches of Comhaltas will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday February 9th at the Green Edgeworthstown.
