Gortletteragh

Fine Leitrim Performance: Leitrim’s good form of 2013 continued on Sunday last in Markievicz Park when they extended their unbeaten form to four games. In the process they had three points to spare over Sligo on a scoreline of 0-8 to 0-5 in the FBD final.
It was good gutsy performance by the Leitrim lads who for the most part controlled the game. Our clubman Cathal McCrann had another fine game in the goals. He brought off one top class save in the first half which had a major influence on the outcome of the game. Ciaran Egan, at full back wasn’t found wanting, when the big questions were being asked. It is a wonderful achievement for the team and management and the good sized Leitrim support showed their appreciation as Emlyn Mulligan was presented with the FBD cup. Well done lads and good luck in Limerick on Sunday next as they play your opening league game.
