GAA: Gowna GAA club are hosting the latest play by Seamus O’Rourke “To Club or County”. A hilarious funny and witty play where Matt the Maestro is manager of a football team who reach the Co final after many years but there are many twists in the tale in the build up to the game. In Ballinagh Community Centre on Saturday 1st December commencing at 8.30pm. Admission 10 euro. Ballinagh is a popular venue for Seamus and his production team having large attendance at their previous performance. Your support would be much appreciated by the club. CONDOLANCE: Sympathy is extended to Ann and Harry O’Reilly Granard on the death of their sister Mary O’Reilly central bar Granard . Also sympathy to her cousins (family of the late Seamus O’Reilly) St Marys Loch Gowna. Following funeral mass in Granard on Tuesday 6th November burial took place in Loch Gowna cemetery. SYMAPTHY: Sympathy is extended to Mrs Bridie Smith Portanure Loch Gowna and Mrs Geraldine Donohoe Mulrick Loch Gowna on the death of their mother Mrs Annie (Nan) Cosgrove nee Comiskey Drumheel, Ballinagh on Wednesday 31st October peacefully in the loving care of her daughter Bridie ,son in law Seamus Smith and family Portanure Loch Gowna. Also sympathy to her sons Paddy & Andy, daughters Ann Mai & Noeleen, sons in law,daughters in law,grandchildren,great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, sisters in law,nephews, nieces,relatives and friends. Her remains were removed from her daughter Bridie’s residence on Sunday to St Felims Church Ballinagh and following requiem mass at 1 o’clock burial took place in Drumavaddy cemetery. May she rest in peace.

BLOOD DONORS CLINIC SUCCESS: The Irish Blood Transfusion Service wish to thank the 207 donors who attended the recent clinic in Loch Gowna. A breakdown of the total figures show 13 first time donors and 21 former donors attended the clinic. Also thanks to everyone who helped to make this clinic a success.
