SUMMER CAMP: A dance music sport art and drama Summer Camp will take place in St Marys parish Hall from Monday 16th to Friday 20th July. Camp will start at 10am and finish at 2pm.To facilitate working mothers kids can be dropped off from 9.30am.The dance part will consist of hip-hop line ceili set tap flamenco Scottish ballroom and kinder dance. The music part will consist of tin whistle and recorder. The week will finish off with a show for parents and a party for the children. The fee for the camp is 50 euro for one child ,90 euro for two children and further reductions for a family or more than two. THANKS: St Christophers services Longford wish to thank all who contributed so generously to the recent Church gate collection held in Killashee and Clondra. The amount collected was 445 euro.

VANDALISM: Once again unfortunately one of the defibrillators was vandalised in the Killashee area. People gave generously so that defibrillators could be installed all over the parish. Anyone who may have information regarding this mindless act are asked to let the relevant authorities know. Much work has bren done around the village in recnt times including the installation of an old bike decorated with flowers and a mannequinn sporting the Longford colours which brought a smile to several passers by. Unfortunately over the weekend somebody vandalised this too. If anyone has information please contact the local garda station.

DEEP SADNESS: There was sadness in the parish when word spread of the passing of Winnie Walsh, Delvin. Winnie was Winnie Nolan formerly from Derryadd. Deepest sympathy is extended to her husband, Pat and daughter Caitriona, sisters Nancy, Jean, Margaret, Kathleen, Helen and Irene brothers Tom, Peter and Paddy, sister in law brothers in law nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Winnie’s funeral took place in Delvin on Sunday last. May her soul rest in peace.

LOTTO: The local lotto draw was held on Sunday night last. Numbers drawn were 12,16,22,25.There was no jackpot winner. 40 euro winner was Linda Nolan. 20 euro each went to Virginia Quigley. Anthony & Dolores and Virginia Featherstone. The next draw will be held in the Richmond in Clondra on Sunday 15th July or a jackpot of 3260 euro. The club greatly appreciates your continued support.
