BALLYMAHON BOXING CLUB: Win a free place on our summer cap which will be held from 23-27 July. Application forms are available from the boxing club or the shop. Book now as places are going fast. Phone Richard 090 6452615. Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, age 7-13 boys and girls 6-7.30 pm. 14 years upwards 7.30-9 pm.

Christmas beach party: The Christmas Beach Party will take place in The Loft, Cooney’s Hotel, Ballymahon on July 7 from 10pm. The event is in aid of the funding of Christmas lights. 10 euro entry. Tickets available from all members of the Ballymahon Traders Association.

GREAT WIN:Congratulations to the team and mentors of Ballymahon/Forgney U16 girls football team who had a great win against Carrickedmond in their Division 2 final at Forgney pitch on Thursday evening last. Well done indeed to all concerned.

MINOR FOOTBALL: Well done to the Ballymahon/Forgney minor footballers who beat Carrickedmond on Thursday evening at Leo Casey Park in the Minor League. We wish the lads the best of luck in their next match.

SENIOR FOOTBALL: Hard luck to Ballymahon’s reserve team who lost out to Rathcline in the Reserve League final which was played in Cashel on Sunday afternoon.

CEMETRY SUNDAY: will be held at Shrule cemetery on Sunday evening next July 8th with mass at 7pm weather permitting. There will be no 9am Mass in St Matthews Church on the Sunday morning. Mass at 1pm is the monthly polish mass.

DAY CARE CENTRE:The directors manager and staff at the Day Care Centre in Ballymahon wish to thank Ballymahon Credit Union for the very successful raffle which they ran for the centre over the last few weeks. To Noelle and the staff at the credit Union , a very sincere thank you.

BALLYMAHON HISTORY GROUP: The next meeting of Ballymahon History Group takes place on Thursday July 5th at 8.30pm. New members are always welcome. Topics from this meeting include heritage week and the group’s forthcoming tour. Light refreshments will be served.

DANCE MUSIC SPORT ART DRAMA: A summer camp for children will be held in the Dean Egan library from Monday 23rd July to 28th July from 10am to 2pm. Children can be dropped off at the library at 9.30am if needed to facilitate working parents. Mixture of all type of dance , also music tin whistle and recorder. The cost of 50 euro per child,90 euro for two. Family 110 euro regardless of number. A small show is guaranteed at the end of the camp. WEEKDAY MASSES: During the month of July there will be no scheduled 10am mass in St Matthews Church on Wednesday and Friday (except July 6th- First Friday).Mass will be celebrated in St Dominics Church in Kenagh at 10am instead.

Games sports trip away 10am to 1pm. 15 euro. Drama and dancing camp 23rd - 27th July 50 euro from 10am to 2pm. Murial painting 30th July to 3rd August 20 euro 11am to 1pm.
