Congratulations and best of luck to the following who go forward to the National Finals as part of the County Longford Team in May:- Girls U12 Mixed Distance Relay - Emily McCarthy and Niamh Brady. Boys U12 Mixed Distance Relay - Evan Farrelly and James Moran. Mixed U13 Cross Country - Eamon Keogh and Sinéad Donohoe. Well done boys and girls and many thanks to their Trainers. Basketball - Mixed U11 put in a very strong performance against Longford North in the semi-final. However Longford North forged ahead in the 2nd half to win the game. Well done to all the boys & girls who took part, and many thanks to Carol Lennon and Roisin Moffett for training this young team to such a high standard. Our two Boys U13 Basketball teams met in the county semi-final last week. The two teams were very evenly matched and played a great game of Basketball. The winning team then went on to play Longford South in the County Final on Saturday, where they had to settle for second place - a great achievement. Well done to all the lads and many thanks to Aisling Conway and Martina Igoe who trained both U13 teams.
