TAG RUGBY: Congratulations to the community games U14 Killoe tag rugby ream who had an excellent win v St bridgets Newbridge Co Kildare to covet the Leinster final played in Carlow last week. The parish extend good luck to all team members and mentors Steve Coy snr/jnr when they challenge the all Ireland final in August 2011 to be played in Athlone Co Westmeath.

21ST: Congratulations to John Gilna son of PJ and Vera Esker Killoe , Laura Byrne, daughter of Michael and Cora (nee Kelly) Clooncoose Longford and Owen Donohoe Newtownforbes all who were joined by families and fiends in the Slashers complex Longford to celebrate that noble key to the door birthday. COLLECTION: Declan and Attracta Bohan extend their sincere thanks to all the people who generously supported their annual Church gate collection weekend 9/10 July 2011. Twenty athletes from Killoe will represent Co. Longford in a variety of Track and Field events, as well as our U14 Tag Rugby team.
