NORA BEIRNE (LOGAN): It was with the deepest of regret the people of Mohill learned of the death of Nora Beirne formerly of Mohill who died in her 91st year on the 3rd July 2011 in the tender care of the doctors nurses and staff at Tallagh Hospital. Nora was predeceased by her dear husband Jim many years ago and has been living with daughter Dympna son in law and grandchilden in Rathfarnham Dublin 16 for the last number of years. We all have lovely memories of Nora. She was a very kind gentle lady, a wonderful wife mother sister and obliging neighbour. She had great memories of yesteryear and it was always a pleasure to meet. She died as she lived with dignity. Her burial took place in Dublin and was representative of all sections of the community. Our sympathies are with her daughter Dympna son in law grandchildren nephews nieces cousins and all who mourn at this sad time.
JOE KEENAN: The death of Joe Keenan St Patrick’s View Mohill on the 6th July last has caused widespread regret by all who had the honour of knowing him. He was a Dublin native who settled well into life in Lovely Leitrim and who will be very sadly missed. His cremation took place in Dublin following requiem Mass in St Parick’s Church at which Fr Sean Burke paid flowing tribute to Joe and sympathised with his dear wife Maureen, children Stephen Alan sisters brothers in law and all who mourn Joe at this sad time and to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.
